The Fusion of Solid Wood and Acrylic

JAXSON is Japan's first luxury bathtub brand, viewing bathtubs as interior elements and pursuing design, bathing comfort, and quality, rooted in Japan's ancient bathing culture. Its products have been widely adopted in luxury hotels and residences worldwide, earning international acclaim.

The new "Cipresso Series" features a bathtub with a pure white acrylic tub set within a cover crafted from Kissoh hinoki, Japan's prized traditional natural material. "Cipresso" means "cypress" in Italian. This marks the first time JAXSON has used hinoki in a bathtub.


The sides, made from solid wood of hinoki trees over 200 years old, are assembled by skilled artisans into delicate, subtly curved lines, finished to highlight the natural wood grain. The low-profile edge of the acrylic tub is molded to create a seamless integration with the cypress.

The lineup includes two types: the perfectly circular "Cipresso Luna 1414" and the rectangular "Cipresso Bobolatti 1585." Despite their simple forms, their voluptuous design and the absence of the metal bands typically required for hinoki baths allow them to blend seamlessly into modern interiors, including Japanese, Japanese modern, and Nordic styles.

The compact size, ranging from 1.5 to 1.6 meters, is another key feature, designed to bring the extraordinary experience of a hot spring resort into everyday life.

The series offers a bathing experience that engages all five senses, from the aroma of hinokitiol, an essential oil found in Kissoh hinoki, to the unique comfort of the acrylic tub and the clarity of the water, unlike that found in conventional hinoki baths.
