Proposing a Stylish Life with "Linen"
The bed linens (sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, etc.) offered by "GRAND FOND BLANC" provide a sleeping experience that truly evokes the comfort of a luxurious hotel bed. Imagine the refreshing touch the moment you slip into bed while traveling, a sense of cleanliness that transfers to your skin, cool and crisp in summer, warm and static-free in winter for peaceful sleep, and gentle on the skin. This exquisite texture is achieved with meticulously selected, premium Italian linen.
The brand, named with the sentiment "Begin and end your day with wonderful white = GRAND FOND BLANC," focuses on sleep, a fundamental aspect of daily life, using high-quality linen that envelops you in supreme comfort and tranquility. They also offer menswear and womenswear loungewear, as well as table linens (tablecloths, napkins, cocktail napkins).
Soft, Durable, and Comfortably Textured Linen
In Japan, "linen" is often perceived as a material for summer wear. However, there are actually nearly 20 types of flax, with various uses. Generally, the flax fibers commonly encountered in daily life are "linen" (from flax plants) and "ramie" (from Boehmeria nivea).
Linen is said to be the oldest fiber known to humankind, existing for over 30,000 years. It has been used in sacred rituals in Egypt, at European weddings, and even at formal royal banquets today. Derived from the flax plant, an annual herb cultivated in cooler regions of Northern Europe, it is known as "The Noble Fiber" for its elegance and grace, making it a preferred choice for bedding and table settings in world-renowned hotels.
Ramie, on the other hand, is made from perennial plants cultivated in hot and humid regions like Southeast Asia and is commonly used for fabrics like the rough, crisp linen textiles often imagined when thinking of "linen."
Linen is soft yet durable, smooth, and pleasant against the skin. Unlike the common perception of linen, it can be used year-round, is resistant to wrinkles, strong, and easy to care for. Furthermore, it possesses antibacterial, insect-repellent, and deodorizing properties, making it particularly suitable for bedding and undergarments.
"GRAND FOND BLANC" proposes "Luxury Line Life" using this "linen," a fiber that harmonizes with Japan's climate and environment. Sales are scheduled to begin in February next year at major department stores, select shops, and the official online store nationwide. Information will be updated sequentially on the official website starting this month.
