Achieve natural coordination with the HP ENVY x360 13 Wood Edition laptop | HP
Presented by HPHP
An Organically Structured Value
Perhaps the HP ENVY x360 13 Wood Edition laptop offers one answer to the question of what a notebook PC should be in the mobile era. It's true that PCs have become an indispensable part of our lives, serving as tools to extend ourselves. Even with the evolution of smartphones, PCs still hold an advantage with their keyboards and screen sizes, complementing rather than replacing them. This is most keenly felt when working from home. While the role of PCs in offices and for work remains unchanged, home use often centers more on private hobbies, various searches, or watching videos, primarily through platforms like YouTube.

What Conditions Are Desired for a Home PC?
How do people interact with their PCs at home? We asked Hisako Namekata, who directs numerous brands, about her actual practices.
“When I’m actually out on assignments or location shoots, my smartphone is my primary device. Since I’m out and about, mobility is the top priority. Also, I often carry a camera for photography, so my work outside the home relies on my smartphone. I mainly use my PC for tasks and organization at home,” she explains.
This suggests that the desired functions for a home PC include leisurely writing manuscripts and searching for information.
“It’s not just that. Browsing overseas websites for ideas for my next project is also an important part of my time. Of course, checking social media and watching movies—my computer at home feels like a partner for almost all my activities.”
As a home PC functions as an integral part of one's lifestyle, the criteria for choosing a model must surely change.
“Since I use it in various scenes of my life, lightness and speed are important. I use it not only in the living room but also in the kitchen while looking up recipes, so in a sense, a sense of mobility within the home is also necessary. In that regard, I feel this 13-inch size is just right. Beyond that, I believe design is also a major factor I want to focus on. It’s not overtly technical-looking; a computer with a natural feel like this HP ENVY x360 13 Wood Edition is something I haven’t seen before. The pleasant tactile sensation of the wood when I touch it makes it feel like a new category of PC—a true partner for the home.”
The HP ENVY x360 13 also features hinges that rotate 360 degrees, allowing the display angle to be adjusted. For example, when you want to use it mainly for browsing, like Namekata, you can fold the hinge to create a "tent" mode. When you return to work, it can be switched to "notebook" mode for comfortable typing, or to "tablet" mode for touch operation while relaxing on the sofa. The ability to instantly change styles according to the purpose is a function that is demanded of a home PC, whose usage scenarios change fluidly.
The Presence of the HP ENVY x360 13 Wood Edition
This is a rare PC that combines a natural wood (natural walnut) finish on the touchpad and palm rest, offering not only a beautiful appearance but also a warm tactile experience. The seamless construction from the palm rest to the touchpad, with almost no discernible step, is not just a testament to precision craftsmanship but also makes the PC feel like a more intimate presence in daily use.
Further attention to detail is evident throughout. For instance, the body is milled from aluminum. Shaped with high precision from a uniform block, the body is not only aesthetically pleasing but also offers a premium feel. Furthermore, the uniform material density ensures robustness and efficient heat dissipation, contributing to its performance as a premium model.
The presence of the HP ENVY x360 13, which serves as part of Namekata's lifestyle and her partner, will be more than just natural.
“Of course, I trust its performance, but as a PC I use every day, what matters most is how comfortable it is and how much of a partner it is to me.”
