Announcing a Major Project Proposing a Luxurious Resort Style

Piero Lissoni was one of the most talked-about names at Salone del Mobile 2015. As an architect and designer, his name is now a constant presence in design news. His prolific output spans categories, resulting in a diverse range of new creations.

This year, collaborations with renowned design brands such as LIVING DIVANI, PORRO,Boffi, Kartell,VICCARBE,FLOS, and GLAS ITALIA, among approximately 20 brands in total, were unveiled.

In architectural news, Fantini's new showroom in Milan was presented. On the opening day of Salone del Mobile, Lissoni's studio, Studio Lissoni, hosted the announcement of the "Ritz-Carlton Residences Project" planned for Miami Beach, Florida.

A cocktail party at Studio Lissoni, the base of the globally influential designer Lissoni, marked the presentation of the "Ritz-Carlton Residences Project." The event drew many industry professionals. This project, his first in the United States, is a grand undertaking featuring 111 condominium residences with 36 boat docks, alongside 15 family villas.

Each unit, ranging from 150 to over 1000 square meters, includes gardens, pools, and entertainment spaces, with two to five bedrooms. With over 60 floor plans available, the interiors are custom-designed and feature kitchens by Boffi, designed by Lissoni. Smart home technology is integrated throughout the property. This development promises a luxurious resort lifestyle, showcasing the latest in design and technology.

Beyond architectural endeavors, Lissoni is a practitioner who embodies the identity of various brands. We had the opportunity to ask him about his current focus.

"Design is always accompanied by continuous research. My profession is architecture, and design is a part of that work. Designing is not merely about giving form to my inspiration. Projects emerge through ongoing questions and dialogue with company representatives. This is the true nature of design work, and it involves a constant cycle of struggle to create designs," Lissoni explained. His practice embodies an Italian approach, grounded in the study of technology and materials, discerning the essential through close dialogue with partners, and bringing it forth as form.
