Celebrating 25 Years of a Brand Icon & Showcasing the Latest Collection

The exhibition title reads, "TWENTY-FIVE YEARS WITHOUT SQUEEZING A LEMON." To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Juicy Salif lemon squeezer, an iconic Alessi item designed by Philippe Starck, a special exhibition was held at the Milan flagship store during Salone del Mobile. New products will be arriving and available in Japan sequentially from late April.

A Limited Edition in Bronze, Emanating Artistic Aura

Twenty-five years have passed since the launch of the "Juicy Salif," hailed as the most provocative lemon squeezer of the 20th century. Designed by Philippe Starck, this product originated from a casual sketch he drew on a pizza parlor napkin.

The 25th-anniversary versions include a limited edition of 299 pieces in bronze, artistically highlighting the item's allure, and an aluminum body with a white matte coating. The white version further accentuates the beauty of its form, promising harmonious integration with other kitchenware.

Additionally, a special publication by Michele Cogo, "Twenty-Five Years Without Squeezing a Lemon," will be released to mark the 25th anniversary.

The Showroom Displays the Latest Collection

Alessi's 2015 new collection garnered attention for items such as the wooden version of Marcel Wanders' popular "Dressed" series, Pauline Deltour's coat rack, and Peter Zumthor's condiment set.

Peter Zumthor's "Container Series" condiment set draws inspiration from nature, crystals, and mineral formations like stalactites and stalagmites. The prototype was created by carving soap with a knife to form polyhedrons that incorporate various natural landscapes, an idea then distilled into six items. Following approximately two years of development, the collection debuted with an oil and vinegar dispenser, salt and pepper shakers, a spice container, a sugar pot, and a small salt cellar.

The "Colombina" series by Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas welcomes a cutlery set for seafood lovers. "Colombina Fish" comprises an oyster fork, a cracker, and a dedicated fork for shellfish, meticulously curated under Alberto Gozzi's supervision to enhance the enjoyment of fish dishes.

Four new wooden pieces have been added to Marcel Wanders' "Dressed" series. These include a cheese board, a cake stand, flat boards and trays, and a large round centerpiece. Retaining the signature laser-cut relief motif of the Dressed series, all pieces are finished by hand.

Pauline Deltour's coat hanger, "Pierrot," features a linear design. Its three-legged base and six short hooks for clothing create a stable yet lightweight and remarkably durable structure. It is also designed for easy transport due to its assembly required.
