New Chairs Designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen

Jaime Hayon, the Spanish designer who has reinterpreted Danish design through a series of works in collaboration with Fritz Hansen. His designs beautifully blend unique talent with Spanish playfulness, Danish minimalism, and craftsmanship. Two new pieces, the armchair "Fri™" and the dining chair "Sammen™", were unveiled at Salone del Mobile, showcasing the full charm of his designs that offer a sense of comfort and relaxation as if at home, regardless of the setting.

Furniture for a Bright, Welcoming, and Unique Home

Regarding the unveiling at Salone del Mobile, designer Jaime Hayon commented, "The dining chair and armchair I created with Fritz Hansen this time can be said to be a natural extension of the Lounge Sofa, Ro™ chair, and Analog table. Like the furniture I have designed previously, the new chairs share the philosophy of using high-quality materials and pursuing the highest comfort through simplicity."

He further elaborated, "The open, free, and adaptable design of these two new chairs allows the sitter to seamlessly blend into the surrounding events. 'Fri' and 'Sammen' create a warm, comfortable, and relaxing space, whether in a home, office, or restaurant."

"Fri™": Comfort in Any Situation

The new armchair "Fri™" is an evolution of the easy chair "Ro™". While "Ro™" creates a quiet, private space for relaxation and meditation, "Fri" encourages the sitter to become part of the space and engage with their surroundings. Its design promotes connection and fosters a joyful, open atmosphere.

"Sammen™": For Cherished Moments Together

The soft and comfortable new dining chair "Sammen™" derives its name from the Danish word for "sammen," meaning to spend time and enjoy together, reflecting its open and friendly design. The unpretentious, modern, and simple form of Sammen feels approachable, while its comfortable seating invites relaxation and facilitates connection among those gathered around the dinner table.
