A "Captivating Journey" at Armani / Teatro
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Armani brand, "The art of living by Giorgio Armani" will unveil a comprehensive collection of models, floor plans, and interior designs for "Armani Hotels" and "Interior Design Projects" that have been kept private since the Interior Design Studio's inception in 2004.
Notably, the exhibition will feature several of IDS's global projects for the first time, tracing their development from the first Armani Hotel in Dubai to subsequent projects in Milan, Miami, Istanbul, Mumbai, Manila, Tel Aviv, Chengdu, and London. The London project, recently completed, will be presented as a preview.
The venue will showcase sketches, 3D graphics, architectural and cross-sectional drawings, photographs, scale models, layout diagrams, and fabric and material samples, offering a detailed look into the IDS's workflow and project progression. Visitors can embark on a captivating journey through some of the world's most vibrant cities.
Armani's Aesthetic of "Luxurious Simplicity"
Giorgio Armani states, "Over the past decade, my Interior Design Studio has undertaken remarkable projects worldwide, embracing new creative ideas. This approach expresses the aesthetic of 'luxurious simplicity' through the culture and customs of each locale.
With this exhibition, I wanted to share this incredibly complex and diverse experience—a journey to innovate the concepts of hospitality and living through collaborations with the great masters of contemporary architecture."
His design philosophy, a perfect embodiment of Made in Italy, transformed the global fashion scene and has since revolutionized the concept of comfort and well-being in architectural spaces. Armani's interior design, driven by an aesthetic of "luxurious simplicity" that enriches not only the eyes but also the soul, reveals a profound design identity.
