From Furniture to Daily Necessities: Many New Creations This Year

At this year's Milan Salone solo exhibition, "works by nendo," the studio will unveil "brushstroke" for Glasitalia, a collection of eight items including side tables and consoles. This collection achieves natural textures reminiscent of wood grain and stone by first applying a brush-painted finish to the back of transparent glass, followed by a spray-painted layer in a different color.

Additionally, "Camper tribute by nendo" for Camper, based on the "Beetle" model, features a design where the entire shoe is enveloped in woven laces. By elevating the laces from a supporting role to the main element, a new aesthetic is created, resulting in a functional shoe with an excellent fit.

Furthermore, the watch series "watch collection 'draftsman' for by|n," named after the drafting tools used by draftsmen who create precise blueprints and drawings, features a design where the markers are laid out like a ruler. To emphasize the ruler-like quality, the markings are printed directly onto the glass rather than the dial.

"by|n" Shops Open in Japan

The "by|n" shops, which will also feature products unveiled at this Milan Salone, will become available for purchase in Japan. A store opening has been decided at Sogo & Seibu.

The product lineup is divided into two categories. Under the concept of "solving small daily inconveniences through the power of design," items are co-developed with renowned Japanese manufacturers, ranging from interior goods such as towels, chopsticks, and fragrances, to fashion items like eyeglasses, necklaces, and shirts.
