The "Tsubame-Sanjo Factory Festival" held last October featured 54 factories from prominent companies in the Tsubame-Sanjo region. Approximately 10,000 visitors from across Japan attended. Artisans actively cultivated their own customers and fans, and the factories transcended their role in manufacturing to become a tourism resource for the local area.

As a result of this event, one factory received letters and resumes from individuals seeking employment, and some visitors subsequently relocated to Sanjo City to become artisans. These achievements were recognized with a Special Jury Prize at the "18th Hometown Event Awards" organized by the Regional Vitalization Center, a general incorporated foundation in Japan, in March of this year. The second edition is scheduled to take place over four days, from October 2nd (Thursday) to 5th (Sunday).
