Salone del Mobile.Milano 2014

Attracting some 300,000 visitors from around the world, it is the most exciting week in the interior design calendar. Held annually in Milan, Italy, the "MILANO SALONE" is the world's largest furniture fair. It encompasses the world's largest international exhibition for interior design in furniture, kitchens, and offices, alongside a simultaneous showcase of manufacturer and designer exhibitions and installations throughout Milan.

On-Site Report! A House That Breathes Appears in the Courtyard of the University of Milan
A house-shaped object appears in the courtyard of the University of Milan. Sliding doors open and close slowly, as if breathing, and in sync with their movement, 175 LED bulbs, representing surrounding plants, blink, transforming the entire courtyard into a breathing house.──Panasonic's participation in Salone del Mobile 2014 marks its seventh consecutive year. This year, under the concept "SLIDING NATURE," the architectural firm Trahan Architects is responsible for the exhibition's design. The space, where living environments and nature resonate, is expressed through large sliding doors and LED lighting.
