"Element": Furniture Collection with Sculptural Forms
At Milan Salone 2013, Tokujin Yoshioka presented 17 new works, including pieces for Italian manufacturer Kartell and others. The "Element" collection for Desalto, a company specializing in innovative metalworking techniques, is a significant highlight of Yoshioka's Milan Salone exhibition, comprising a series of chairs and tables.
Developed from research and experimentation within his Crystallized Project, "Element" draws inspiration from the random harmony and beauty of natural crystal structures.
Through special metal processing techniques, the furniture achieves a unique material quality and sculptural form, appearing almost liberated from gravity.
