A Brand with Deep Kyoto Roots Showcases a Cross-Cultural Vision in Milan

Born with the theme of "cross-culture," Stellar Works aims to distribute high-quality, handcrafted furniture at fair prices to the global market. In Japan, they opened a showroom in Kyoto last October in collaboration with Hosoo, a long-established Nishijin textile weaver.

At the "MOST" venue, a central hub of Milan Design Week, their exhibition will feature an exciting new collection, alongside vintage pieces, lighting, and accessories that look towards the future. The brand's cross-cultural worldview will be expressed from multiple perspectives.

A New Collection Created Freely Across China, Scandinavia, Bauhaus, and Kyoto

Exhibition Contents
Ming Collection | Neri & Hu (Shanghai, China)

Neri & Hu, a Shanghai-based design studio, explores ancient Chinese typography, crafts, and ornamentation. They respectfully honor tradition while elevating it into a fresh, contemporary style. The "Ming Collection" presented here fuses a new aesthetic with a blend of Asian ornamentation and Western functionality.

QT Collection | Nick Graham (Sydney, Australia)
The "QT Collection" was created as part of the concept for Sydney's acclaimed "QT Hotel." It offers proposals that bridge playful, old-fashioned techniques with traditional craftsmanship, resonating with today's homeowners who value quality.

Lunar Collection | SPACE CPH (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Introducing the new Luna Wingback Chair to the "Lunar Collection." It combines Scandinavian design with the poetic delicacy of China.

Rén Collection | SPACE CPH
A dining table joins the popular chair series. Like the Lunar Collection, its concept is a fusion of Scandinavia and China.

SW Collection | OEO (Copenhagen, Denmark)
The "SW Collection," by OEO, Stellar Works' Creative Director, draws inspiration from 20th-century Bauhaus style. It distills traditional values of comfort through pure, simple lines.

HARLEQUIN Collection | OEO
This collection was created for Hosoo, a venerable Nishijin textile weaver renowned globally for its tradition of weaving gold and silver leaf into three-dimensional textiles.

Kyoto Lamp Collection | OEO
Stellar Works' first lamp collection is inspired by traditional Kyoto townhouses and Japanese wooden toy airplanes. The Kyoto Lamp is a tribute to the essence of Kyoto and the spirit of craftsmanship, evoking a warm atmosphere with a mystical sensibility.

Japan Handmade | OEO
This showcases works from "Japan Handmade," a joint collaboration with artisans who are reinterpreting traditional Kyoto crafts into new designs and challenging the world market.
