"SCENES / KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD" Exhibition

Featuring the full lineup, including products released over the past three years by Karimoku New Standard, as well as the latest pieces not yet released in Japan.—The first large-scale exhibition of Karimoku New Standard in Japan, "SCENES / KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD," will be held at EYE OF GYRE on the 3rd floor of Harajuku GYRE from Tuesday, October 30th to Monday, November 5th, as part of Design Tide Tokyo 2012.

A Week to Experience Karimoku New Standard Furniture Firsthand

The "SCENES / KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD" exhibition invites visitors to imagine how they would use the furniture in various settings, by allowing them to interact with and sit on the pieces.

The main gallery space at EYE OF GYRE / GYRE 3F presents various scenes composed of Karimoku New Standard furniture. In one area, transformed into an office and lounge, visitors can experience the realistic feel of the furniture in use. In another, abstractly rendered 'interiors' are inserted into the space, serving as stages for creating diverse everyday scenes.

Furthermore, furniture will be placed in the public space on the first basement floor of Harajuku GYRE, creating a temporary "Karimoku New Standard Lounge."
