Expressing Light for People with LEDs
Architect Makoto Tanijiri, who appeared on the TV program "Solomon's Style" this January and whose first book"1000% Architecture: I've Lived My Life Misunderstanding Things"is drawing attention, with his first book going into its second printing just four days after release. The creator unit "PASSION ON PROJECT," formed around him, will present an installation exhibition during Milan Salone, themed "Touch to turn light into delight."

An Interactive Installation Worthy of Being Called a "Growing Work"
The unit "PASSION ON PROJECT," comprised of architect Makoto Tanijiri, lighting designer Izumi Okayasu, and producer Yahoko Sasao, will exhibit an installation that embodies light for people using LEDs. It contemplates the nature of light, human communication, and joy, inspired by the "adversity" experienced by Japanese people in 2011.
Visitors pick up acrylic parts, enter the venue, and place them where they wish. At that moment, the acrylic parts receive light from LEDs and begin to emit it.
The work itself is in constant flux. The moment a visitor places a part, "light" and "people" communicate, transforming individual "joy" into collective "delight." This is an interactive installation.
