Challenging the theme of "forest" with Ryuji Nakamura, Mintdesigns, and Nobuhiro Shimura

Into a new world of Digital Imaging, born from adding design creativity and expressiveness to Canon's technology and products.Last year, under the theme "NEOREAL WONDER," Canon recorded nearly 70,000 visitors during the event. For this year's Milan Salone, its 51st iteration, Canon presents the theme "NEOREAL IN THE FOREST."

This time, with "forest" as the theme, Canon's digital imaging technology, from input to output, will be used to express the mystery and vitality of the forest, and the contrast between "stillness" and "motion," in a fantastical and dynamic manner.

Mysterious images of forest life will be projected onto a structure (8m high x 5m wide x 2m deep, with 10cm grid spacing) made from a lattice of 0.3mm piano wire. Visitors can enjoy viewing the images, which emerge like morning mist in a forest, from various angles.
For image input, the high-quality, high-performance digital SLR camera "EOS 7D" equipped with an approximately 18-million-pixel CMOS sensor is used. For output, the high-definition LCD projector "WUX 4000," featuring Canon's reflective LCOS (Liquid Crystal On Silicon) panel, is employed.

Mintdesigns (Fashion Designer) × Nobuhiro Shimura (Video Artist) = "Fall in Pop"

Using intricately folded pleated fabric as a screen, images that appear to flow with color will be projected, creating a dynamic space that evokes the pulse of the forest. The "EOS 7D" is used for image input, and the LCD projector "WUX 10 Mark II" with an LCOS panel is used for output.

Furthermore, Canon's Integrated Design Center will exhibit works inspired by nature, created using high-definition equipment.
