Logitech's Flagship Model Gets a Full Overhaul for the First Time in Six Years

A New Generation of High-End Mouse Bearing the "MASTER" Name Arrives

Logitech introduces the "Logitech MX MASTER Wireless Mouse," a high-end mouse for creators who master various operating systems such as Windows and Mac. It will be available for purchase from Thursday, April 2nd, at the Logitech online store and authorized Logitech retailers.

The Meaning of "MASTER"

The "Logitech MX MASTER Wireless Mouse" is the successor to the currently available high-end Logitech mouse, the "Logitech Performance Mouse M950t," and is the company's first high-end mouse in approximately six years. It marks the return of the "MX" brand, which has been absent since the "MX Revolution" of the generation before last.

At the product launch event, Logitech's Cluster Category Manager, Akihito Furusawa, stated, "The history of MX began in November 2002 with the first wireless model, the MX700. Just as MASTER signifies 'craftsmanship,' we developed this as the ultimate model most suited for today's professionals involved in tasks such as design, and photo editing."

It offers a comfortable fit that perfectly molds to your hand, and can be used in environments where normal mice fail, such as on glass tables or glossy surfaces. The button on the back allows pairing with up to three compatible devices, enabling seamless switching and stress-free multitasking.

A Masterpiece Launched Almost Simultaneously in Japan, Europe, and the US

A unique feature is the "thumb wheel" located on the thumb rest, which supports horizontal scrolling and advanced gesture controls. The "scroll wheel" automatically shifts speed based on how fast you scroll, allowing for efficient browsing of long texts and web pages.

Arnaud Perre-Gentil, the Product Manager who flew to Japan for the product launch, explained, "This is a high-end mouse developed for discerning customers—our MASTERS—who have high demands for their PC work. It offers two types of wireless connectivity via the included Unifying receiver or Bluetooth® Smart, and supports fast charging for up to 40 days of battery life on a single charge. Beyond its beautiful, sculpted design, we've meticulously focused on usability."

While presenting product development photos, Arnaud explained, "Inspiration begins with rough sketches. From sketches, we create 3D mock-ups, and this manual work is truly master craftsmanship. After numerous user tests with professionals who use a mouse for 8 hours a day, the process transitions from handcrafting to engineering for the actual product."
