First Look: The New TimeWalker with a Big Face
Montblanc to Launch Smartwatch This Summer
Montblanc is entering the smartwatch arena with a new addition to its "TimeWalker" collection, a category expected to see widespread adoption this year as "wearable technology." The "e-Strap," a device with advanced functionality that syncs with various smartphones, represents a masterful fusion of digital and mechanical watchmaking. The "TimeWalker Urban Speed Chronograph e-Strap," pictured above, which incorporates the e-Strap device, is slated for release this summer with a price point of ¥700,000–¥800,000.

The e-Strap: A Multifunctional Device
The "e-Strap" is equipped with a technology device offering a range of functions, including an activity tracker, smart notifications, various remote controls, and a Find-me feature. It connects to Android and iOS smartphones via Bluetooth™ Low Energy and is also interchangeable.
For instance, wearing a watch equipped with the "e-Strap" allows you to receive notifications of the latest information via vibration without needing to check your smartphone. You can stay informed about incoming emails (previewing topics and senders), text messages, calls, social media feed updates, and important meeting schedules, all directly from your watch.
Three New TimeWalker Collection Models Arrive This Summer
The "TimeWalker Urban Speed e-Strap," featuring this "e-Strap," is the first traditional mechanical watch to incorporate digital functions. Three new models in the TimeWalker collection will be released this summer.
In addition to the chronograph shown above, attention should also be paid to the UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) watch, which displays two time zones simultaneously, and a simple three-hand watch with hours, minutes, seconds, and date display.
Furthermore, the leather straps compatible with the "e-Strap" are made from "Extreme Leather," developed in-house at Montblanc's Pelletteria workshop in Florence, the heart of leather craftsmanship. This material boasts excellent fire and water resistance, is scratch-resistant, and features a unique carbon pattern that lends an elegant yet sporty and cool aesthetic.
