Further Evolution with Three New Functions

Introducing the "Airfryer Plus"

When thinking of hit home appliances from 2013, many might recall Philips' "Airfryer," which allowed users to fry foods without oil. Now, reflecting feedback from Japanese consumers, Philips has developed the "Airfryer Plus," featuring enhanced usability, set to launch in early September.

Expanded Functions for the Airfryer That Changed Japanese Kitchens

Philips' "Airfryer," which fries food without any oil by circulating hot air, is being released as the "Airfryer Plus" with three expanded functions.

The first expanded function offers more precise temperature control and extended cooking times. The previous Airfryer adjusted temperatures between 80 and 200 degrees Celsius via a dial, but the new Airfryer Plus allows for adjustments in 5-degree increments from 60 to 200 degrees Celsius. This makes it easy to prepare dishes requiring precise low-temperature control, such as onsen tamago (hot spring eggs). Additionally, the cooking time setting has been extended from 30 minutes to 60 minutes, enabling longer cooking processes for items like chashu pork. The combination of low temperature and extended cooking times allows for tender chicken ham to be easily made at home, which is truly surprising.

The second enhancement focuses on the basket. A new cooking net has been developed for the bottom of the basket, specifically for the Japanese market. By adopting a hexagonal mesh structure and applying a non-stick coating, it resolves issues with food sticking. It also drains excess oil from fried and baked foods, reducing fat content by up to 80% for a healthier result. The basket is removable and dishwasher-safe, making post-use cleaning effortless.

Furthermore, a removable cover has been newly added to the top of the basket, eliminating concerns about ingredients being blown away by hot air when making popcorn or dried fruits. This also helps prevent oil splatters from soiling the unit and suppresses smoke during cooking. Enjoying items like granola, a popular healthy breakfast option, or flavored popcorn is now possible, further expanding the possibilities for home cooking.

The third improvement is the adoption of a digital touch panel for operation. The control method has shifted from the dial-type of the current Airfryer model to a digital touch panel. It also features an automatic stop function when the set temperature is reached during preheating.

In today's health-conscious world, why not start a more convenient and healthier lifestyle with the new Airfryer Plus?
