New Body Composition Scale Brand "InnerScan Dual" Launched
TANITA has launched "InnerScan Dual," a new brand of body composition scales that incorporates the dual-frequency measurement technology used in medical and research settings into a home-use device. The first two models in this line were released on Friday, May 30th.

High-Precision Measurement, Easily Achieved at Home
The initial lineup includes two models: the standard "RD-900," capable of measurements in 100g increments, and the premium "RD-901," offering high-precision weight measurements in 50g increments.
Previous home-use body composition scales used a single frequency for measurement, which could lead to unstable results affected by the body's hydration levels. The new models utilize "dual frequency," the standard in medical and research fields, to measure body composition. This ensures highly accurate readings regardless of the body's hydration status.
Both models are also the first body composition scales from a Japanese manufacturer to support Bluetooth 4.0. Measurement results can be transferred to an iPhone and recorded or managed using a dedicated app. Four types of dedicated apps are available, tailored to different goals, all of which are free to use.
The "RD-900" measures six parameters: weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, visceral fat level, bone mass, and BMI. The "RD-901" adds basal metabolic rate, body age, and body water percentage to these six, for a total of nine measurements. Both models feature a modern, stylish design and are available in black and white. Pricing is open.
