World's Highest Quality "Tilting Live Viewfinder" Equipped

Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera "GX7" Debuts

Panasonic Corporation will release the mirrorless interchangeable lens camera "LUMIX DMC-GX7," equipped with the world's highest "high-definition approximately 2.76 million-dot equivalent tilting live view viewfinder," on Friday, September 13th.

Image Stabilization Even When Using Antique Lenses

Compared to its predecessor, the "GX1," which was praised for its rendering performance, the "GX7" boasts a further 10% improvement in detail rendering. This is primarily due to the newly developed 16M Digital Live MOS sensor and the Venus Engine. The maximum ISO sensitivity is 25600.

The world's highest-definition approximately 2.76 million-dot equivalent live view viewfinder is the first body-integrated tilting type for a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. It can tilt up to 90 degrees, allowing for shooting in a comfortable posture. Furthermore, by simply changing the angle slightly, you can enjoy shooting from perspectives different from the usual.

Built-in Flash in a Compact Body

This is the first time the company has adopted an in-body image stabilization function in its interchangeable lens cameras. Even when attaching lenses without built-in image stabilization, such as old lenses or prime lenses, it is now possible to shoot photos with reduced blur. Additionally, it features a "peaking" function that displays the focus peak position in color on the monitor, allowing for at-a-glance confirmation of which part of the subject is in focus. This assists with manual focus shooting.

The lens kit includes the prime pancake lens "LUMIX G 20mm / F1.7 II ASPH." The inclusion of a high-rendering prime lens in the kit, rather than an entry-level zoom lens, demonstrates the "GX7's" commitment to image quality.

It will be released on Friday, September 13th, in black and silver body colors. Both the "DMC-GX7" (body only) and the lens kit "DMC-GX7C" (with pancake lens) will be open-priced.
