The Crystallization of "Beauty in Utility"
Anyone interested in motorcycles has likely seen the name "Moriwaki" at least once. "Moriwaki Engineering," founded in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture in 1973, is a manufacturer of motorcycle and automobile parts that Japan's road racing scene is proud of. After achieving success in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race from the 1970s onwards, they have amassed numerous brilliant achievements, including the 2010 World Road Racing Championship "motogp/moto2" class championship. Their high level of technical expertise has led them to develop and manufacture their own racing vehicle bodies, supplying race vehicles to riders and teams worldwide.

In collaboration with Moriwaki Engineering, Maruwakaya has developed iPhone 5 covers that embody the beauty of Japan.

The "Collect of Japan" series features an original frame meticulously crafted from a single block of aluminum, into which a detachable back plate is fitted. The first installment showcases "Maekawa Inden," renowned for its mastery of the traditional "Inden" technique. Inden, a technique passed down in Japan since ancient times, involves dyeing deerskin and applying patterns with lacquer, a sophisticated craft that adds flair to personal belongings.

The "Collect of Japan #01 INDEN" combines Moriwaki Engineering's original frame, produced with high-precision processing technology, and a plate from Maekawa Inden, imbued with a refined aesthetic. It can be described as the crystallization of "beauty in utility," both exquisite and highly durable.
