Significantly Reduced Shutter Noise

A new product, the Leica M10-P, has been added to Leica's traditional rangefinder camera system, the "Leica M System" series.

This product is based on the "Leica M10," which inherits the basic concept of the M System and adopts only the essential elements for photography, with subtle updates.




Its most significant feature is the substantial improvement in shutter sound quietness. The release sound has been suppressed to the lowest level among M-series cameras to date. This allows for quieter shooting than with M-type film cameras. It proves effective in situations where quiet, unobtrusive shooting is necessary, such as in nature.

The exterior design is also understated, much like the quiet shutter sound. The red Leica logo is omitted from the front of the body, with only the cursive "Leica" subtly engraved on the top cover.

Furthermore, the hot shoe cover is made of metal, designed to blend seamlessly with the texture of the top cover.



The operability is uniquely and functionally arranged in line with the M System's tradition. A new feature is the adoption of a touch panel for the LCD monitor. This makes it easier to check focus in Live View mode and navigate images in Playback mode. Various settings can be adjusted more easily, improving operability in many aspects.

Additionally, a new level gauge has been incorporated. This facilitates leveling the camera, eliminating the need for time-consuming corrections in post-processing.

Two color variations are available: Black Chrome and Silver Chrome. It was released on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Leica stores, Leica boutiques, and authorized Leica dealers.
