Optimized Compatibility with Other System Lenses

Leica has launched the TL2, a new model in the Leica TL System that refines speed and operability. The exterior has been redesigned with chamfered body edges, and the operational controls, including the shutter button, have also been restyled. Beyond its sophisticated appearance, the tactile experience is said to be enhanced.

The compact body is precision-milled from a solid block of aluminum at the factory and meticulously assembled by hand using the finest materials.


Equipped with a newly developed 24-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, combined with the "LEICA MAESTRO II" image processor, it achieves a wide dynamic range, excellent contrast, faithful color reproduction, and the ability to render details with remarkable clarity.

Beyond still photography, enjoy various video shooting modes such as 4K, Full HD, and slow motion, tailored to different situations.

Furthermore, autofocus speed and accuracy have been improved. It achieves sharp focus on subjects in just 0.165 seconds (according to CIPA standards, with a Leica standard zoom lens at its wide end), approximately three times faster than previous models.

Thanks to the Leica Maestro II, not only has autofocus speed increased, but startup time has also been significantly reduced. The new electronic shutter allows for silent shooting and enables high shutter speeds of up to 1/40000 seconds, as well as continuous shooting at 7 to 20 frames per second.


The menu of the Leica TL2 has also been refined. Menu items are now organized by related functions, allowing for more intuitive operation. The "My Camera Menu," which lets you register frequently used items, also allows for reordering, enhancing usability.

The 3.7-inch touch panel LCD monitor on the back, used for operation, boasts significantly improved sensitivity, offering a smooth operational feel that reacts up to eight times faster. Its clear and crisp display is also convenient for checking composition and subjects before and after shooting.

Six lenses are available: prime lenses and three types of compact zoom lenses, allowing you to choose the optimal one for your needs and situation. The Leica TL2 shares its lens mount with the Leica TL and Leica SL, enabling the attachment of SL lenses without an adapter.

Available in silver and black. Additionally, a range of functional accessories, such as a new Napa leather protector that supports the camera during battery changes, are offered. Carrying straps that match the camera's color are also available in stone gray, black, red, and cement.
