The era is shifting from "wearable" to "earable." EARIN evolves to the "M-2" | EARIN

The Era of "Earables" is Here
High-Fidelity Sound, Noise Reduction & Intuitive Touch Controls!
Among the fully wireless Bluetooth earphones released last year, EARIN stood out for its exceptional popularity. Now, EARIN has swiftly unveiled an upgraded, latest model. This new iteration features a completely revamped technology suite, significantly enhancing its capabilities over the existing "M-1" model. By overcoming the weaknesses of the first-generation model, it has emerged as the undisputed leader in "earable" devices.

A Smart Nordic Brand Born from Kickstarter
EARIN is a brand familiar to any gadget enthusiast. While its Japanese name is pronounced "Yāin," it's commonly pronounced "Ear-in" internationally. It has a rather charming ring to it.
Founded in Sweden in 2013, EARIN's mission is to "develop the ultimate audio products for everyone who loves music." The three founders—Kiril Tsepishchev, Olle Lindén, and Per Sennström—are all former Sony Ericsson engineers and music lovers, forming a team with expertise in the design, development, and engineering of digital devices.
The funding they raised through the crowdfunding platform "Kickstarter" for their uncompromising audio devices amounted to $1.5 million, a record for a Nordic company at the time.
EARIN launched the "M-1" approximately six months before Apple released the "AirPods," leading to sold-out stores and a five-month backorder period due to its immense popularity.
Its successor is the "M-2," and this new model boasts three key advancements compared to the "M-1."
Firstly, it incorporates NXP®'s MiGLO™ technology. This technology, with about 10 years of proven stability in hearing aids, prevents audio dropouts and improves latency between the left and right earbuds. The "M-1" model did experience occasional dropout issues.
Secondly, a call function with noise reduction has been added. This not only benefits "M-2" users but also ensures clearer audio for the person on the other end of the call, enabling communication as if face-to-face, even in noisy environments like crowded bars or train stations.
Thirdly, touch interfaces have been integrated into the earpieces. Sensors on both the left and right earbuds allow for answering calls, playing/pausing music, and accessing digital assistants like Siri. The ability to control multiple functions through different gestures is a standout feature.
The benefits brought about by these three changes are as follows:
• Elimination of dropouts (uninterrupted sound)
• Virtually no latency between left and right earbuds
• Ability to hear call audio in both ears
Let's take a closer look at the earpieces. EARIN are canal-type earphones that fit snugly into the ear canal, much like earplugs. This alone helps to block out ambient noise. Conversely, when you need to be aware of your surroundings, such as during a commute, the microphones pick up external sounds and relay them to your ears. Each earpiece is equipped with two microphones, totaling four, which facilitate communication with the outside world. During calls, the "M-2" reliably captures the user's voice while cutting out ambient noise by over 20dB, delivering clear conversations to both parties. This ensures crystal-clear communication.
The seamless transition from listening to music to taking a phone call without removing the earpieces is a significant advantage. The touch interface is essential for this entire process. Notably, the "M-2" earpieces are ambidextrous; the device automatically recognizes left and right based on the orientation of the touch interface when worn.
The size of the earpieces remains virtually unchanged from the previous model.
"M-1" Diameter 14.5mm, Length 20mm, Weight 3.5g
"M-2" Diameter 14.5mm, Length 21mm, Weight 3.6g
It's commendable that despite the significant functional enhancements, the form factor has been kept nearly identical.

The charging capsule has also been redesigned. The interior features magnets in the earpiece seating to prevent accidental drops.
The "M-2" earpieces offer approximately 3 hours of playback on a full charge (compared to about 2.5 hours for the "M-1"). With the charging capsule providing three additional charges, the total playback time with a fully charged capsule reaches about 12 hours. This battery life is more than adequate.
Furthermore, the dedicated app, compatible with both iOS and Android, has been enhanced, opening possibilities for future feature additions through firmware updates.
With the arrival of the "M-2," EARIN has once again established a commanding lead. While Apple and other audio device manufacturers are sure to follow, and their ensuing competition will be exciting to watch, I've already decided to click "buy" on this model without waiting for further developments.
Beyond being drawn to the product's advanced features, I feel a strong desire to support the smart mindset of the three founders who achieved their vision without relying on large corporations, through this product.
