Creating Natural Airflow, Crafting Serene Spaces
amadana Fan & Circulator
As a line of products designed for living spaces, amadana is an electronics brand that proposes new lifestyles with the theme of "a more refined presence." For its first new product release of 2012, the amadana Fan & Circulator (NF-227), which boasts colors, shapes, and operability that redefine the conventional image of a standard fan, has been launched at the amadana Harajuku store and the amadana web store.

A Form Inspired by Airplane Wings and Wind Turbines
A dynamic grille, a streamlined support column, a forward-leaning posture, dial keys reminiscent of audio equipment amplifiers, a black body, and aluminum parts placed throughout.—The form, inspired by airplane wings and wind turbines, along with its meticulous details, exudes a sense of substance and luxury, evoking a feeling of quiet, powerful wind with its mere presence.
The adoption of a DC motor creates a natural, comfortable breeze that was impossible with conventional fans, allowing for 20 levels of airflow adjustment, from a gentle, barely-there breeze to a refreshingly cool wind. It's also an energy-saving design, with an estimated monthly electricity cost of only about 16 yen at the minimum airflow of 3W.
The timer can be set for 2, 4, or 8 hours. At its lowest setting, the fan operates with a soft, quiet hum that matches the gentle breeze, making it safe to use while sleeping. It can also be used as a circulator when the air conditioner is on, helping to reduce air conditioner usage and save electricity.
The smart shaft and the "waist" that resembles the nape of the neck create a unique and beautiful silhouette, making it an elegant piece of interior decor that can be left out year-round. With energy conservation being a major concern this summer, and extending into winter heating, its year-round functionality and design are noteworthy.
