A Triumph of Innovative Approach

The Ultimate Eco-Speaker Launches in Japan

Designer Paul Cocksedge, known for his genre-defying approach, garnered attention last autumn at the Japan-UK design exhibition "Mark-ing." Now, "Change the Record," which drew significant attention at the exhibition, has finally launched in Japan. What is this product that reuses analog records to present a new value proposition?

The "New Synthesis of the Old and New" Pursued by a Leading Young British Designer

"Change the Record" is an old 12-inch record reshaped into a funnel using heat. When you play music on a smartphone and place it inside, the sound emitted from the lower part of the device is amplified, creating immersive sound from the speaker. Naturally, no power or batteries are required.

In today's lifestyle dominated by digital audio, the attempt to find a new role for LP records, a symbolic item of analog sound, is truly conceptual. Furthermore, the fact that it results in an eco-friendly item is a testament to the designer's skill.

With its striking form, it also makes an excellent interior item for your desk or living room. We encourage you to experience its sound at the E&Y showroom or retail stores.
