A Roaster That Changes the Rules of Yakiniku, Developed by Experts in Utensils and Meat!

Sumibi Yakiniku Yuji is a renowned yakiniku restaurant in Shibuya, a must-visit for offal lovers. The "YK-T" charcoal grill roaster, set to be released, will actually be used at the restaurant.

The "YK-T" features the use of two types of grates. The method for bringing out the best flavor differs depending on the cut of meat.
──With this philosophy in mind, the roaster achieves the groundbreaking idea of switching grates according to the meat being cooked: cast iron for red meat and stainless steel for offal.

This innovative roaster was born from a long-standing relationship and accumulated trust between Yuji, a renowned charcoal grill establishment that draws many yakiniku fans, led by owner Hiroshi Higuchi who is dedicated to meat, and Kama-asa Shoten, which has led the Kappabashi Kitchen Town for over a century. With this roaster, delicious yakiniku is sure to be enjoyed at home!

Furthermore, from January 11 (Wed) to February 27 (Mon), 2012, Kama-asa Shoten will open a "Mobile Kama-asa Shoten" for a limited time at the museum shop "Souvenir From Tokyo" in The National Art Center, Tokyo, Minato-ku. Maintaining the atmosphere of Kappabashi, it will showcase a selection of "excellent cooking tools," including original Nambu iron pots and kettles, kama, kamado, and hand-forged yukihira pots, from the many items handled at the main store.
