The Solid Gold G-SHOCK, Crafted Under the Direction of its Creator, Kikuo Ibe
The G-SHOCK solid gold model will be exhibited at ISHIDA Omotesando in Tokyo's Omotesando from Thursday, June 11th to Sunday, June 14th. Kikuo Ibe, known as the creator of G-SHOCK, will be visiting the store from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 13th. The event is hosted by Best Selling Co., Ltd., which operates six authorized watch retailers in Tokyo.

Case, Band, Screws... All Solid Gold
The "DREAM PROJECT DW-5000 IBE SPECIAL" on display is a one-of-a-kind concept model unveiled at this year's Baselworld. With a theme of fusing the pursuit of strength (G-SHOCK) with the ultimate in metal (gold), it is a piece that pursues universal beauty and value.
From the case to the band and screws, everything is solid gold. It was created under the direction of Kikuo Ibe (Casio Computer Co., Ltd., Hamura Technology Center, Watch Business Unit), known as the creator of G-SHOCK, and his signature is engraved on the back. While it possesses a new shock-resistance structure capable of withstanding the weight of gold and its waterproof structure, it is the only one in existence, so no actual impact tests have been performed.
On Saturday, June 13th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM,Mr. Ibewill be visiting the store. Mr. Ibe joined Casio in 1976 and developed the first G-SHOCK in 1983 while in charge of exterior watches in the technical department. Since then, he has been involved as a project leader in the development ofMR-GThis is a rare opportunity to hear from the legendary developer.
During the exhibition period, customers who purchase a Casio G-SHOCK "MR-G" will receive a "watch case" in collaboration with the luggage brand Proteca (limited quantity).
