Sommelier Hiroshi Ishida Oversees the Project

Hiroshi Ishida, one of Japan's leading sommeliers, also familiar to OPENERS readers,Hiroshi Ishidais the subject of much discussion for his role in overseeing the comprehensive design of this residence. The concept of this home is deeply rooted in the professional service mindset cultivated by Mr. Ishida through his extensive experience as a sommelier at top-tier restaurants.

In addition to a wine cellar in the basement capable of storing around 10,000 bottles, a private sommelier is available every Saturday and on the first, fourth, and fifth Sundays of the month. Even on weekdays, residents can receive expert advice via a hotline, making this an unprecedented residence where the building manager is also a sommelier.

The architectural and design supervision for the building was handled by Keiji Serizawa, one of today's most promising young architects. The living spaces feature a sophisticated ambiance created by a combination of white and pale gray tones with solid oak flooring. Two types of studio layouts are available, offering flexible, open-plan living.

Each unit comes standard with a showcase for wine glasses and a tasting counter integrated with a daily wine cellar. The kitchen, designed for preparing meals to be enjoyed with wine, is also a crucial element. Architect Keiji Serizawa's original design, rather than off-the-shelf components, includes a built-in gas oven range, catering to serious culinary endeavors.

The residences are versatile, suitable not only as primary or secondary homes but also as offices, party rooms, or salons. On the first floor, a branch of "Shinsen Endo Risaburo Shoten," a Tokyo-based top bistro and wine bar, has opened. With delivery service available to the apartments, residents can host and entertain numerous guests.

This is a new residence that allows wine lovers to engage with their passion more freely and indulgently, realizing their ideal lifestyle.
