The theme of the new brand “INITIA CLOUD,” a collaboration between nendo and COSMOS INITIA, is a home with “flexibility.” Beyond categories such as condominiums, renovated condominiums, and detached houses, INITIA CLOUD proposes a home and lifestyle with “flexibility” where spaces can be freely transformed as desired, adapting to changing times, family life, and children’s growth, rather than forcing people’s lives to fit into a rigid room (box).

The foundation of INITIA CLOUD lies in the combination of an open, large space with slide walls positioned in several areas. When the slide walls are opened, it becomes a vast space, and when closed, it creates a more private area. Furthermore, by changing the open/closed positions, various floor plans and layouts become possible, creating spaces that accommodate diverse lifestyles.

Extensive Use of Slide Walls Connects All Rooms

The first condominium in the INITIA CLOUD series, “INITIA CLOUD FUTAKOTAMAGAWA,” featuring slide walls that can be used according to the resident's lifestyle, is located in Okamto 2-chome, Setagaya Ward, an area known for its water and greenery, within a Type 2 Low-Rise Residential Zone and a Type 2 Scenic District.

The building is divided into two blocks, East and West, both low-rise, four-story structures with a height limit of 12 meters. Ample green space is secured within the site to blend harmoniously with the lush cityscape. Various deciduous and evergreen trees are planted, blooming and displaying color with the changing seasons, allowing residents to experience light and wind.

The model room introduced here is floor plan B2 (77.19㎡). A retractable slide wall is installed between the approximately 18-tatami mat living-dining-kitchen area and the adjacent approximately 4-tatami mat room. When opened, the space expands, and when closed, it can be used as a private room.

In the private zone, opening the slide wall creates a spacious master bedroom, while closing it allows for individual spaces. True to the brand's concept, the expansive space embodies the “flexibility” of housing that adapts to life.
