A space where two types of users, with vastly different body sizes – "adults" and "children" – can enjoy themselves simultaneously

The food menu, made with safe ingredients, offers options for adults, children, and even baby food, all at very reasonable prices. The cafe features over 600 picture books on its bookshelves, a Cassina-custom sofa in the play area, and thoughtful design elements such as spacious aisles mindful of strollers and switches and handles placed high up to prevent children from tampering with them. This parent-child cafe, "tokyo baby cafe," showcases numerous considerations.

At nendo, the "difference in scale" between "adults" and "children" became the design concept, resulting in a design composed of "extremely large" and "extremely small" elements that leverage both "child's perspective" and "adult's perspective."

For example, a "very large" nursing sofa becomes the play area, while a "very small" version serves as the changing table. Large windows and small windows. Large light bulbs and small light bulbs. The wooden flooring also varies in size upon closer inspection. Illustrations of parent and child animals are hidden on the undersides of tables and shelves, "out of adult's sight." Thus, a cafe filled with numerous "parent-child" motifs has been created.

It has become a community space where new connections are likely to form, not just between parents and children, but among all visitors.
