Don't miss their "Live Painting" collaboration!
This event revives a past collaboration between the two artists in a "live painting" style, presenting a one-night-only, in-the-moment live performance within the THINK space.
Ryo Okamoto's technique of "visible drawing," where images are created using daylight and the darkness of night. And Yuri Miyauchi's method of playing multiple instruments alone, crafting a single musical piece through sampling and looping.
The distinct creative visions of these two artists will converge to create a singular moment in time and space. We eagerly anticipate your presence.

Ryo Okamoto
Contemporary Artist
Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1977. Studied Art at the Painting Department of Camberwell College of Arts and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, UK, from 1995, before returning to Japan. Held several solo exhibitions at IDEE in Aoyama, Tokyo, around 1998, but feeling a sense of dissatisfaction, he entered a period of research. After engaging in the import and development of general lifestyle goods, he resumed exhibiting his work in 2010. Since 2012, he has presented his "visible drawing" style, creating line art with white pens on glass and mirrors, allowing him to engage with urban landscapes and architecture. While his illustrations for brands like BEAMS and outdoor companies are notable, his gallery exhibitions both domestically and internationally explore enclosed worlds that can only be expressed within confined spaces. He possesses a deep interest in organic materials such as living things and plants, as well as inorganic materials like stones and minerals, and in folklore and ancient art.
Yuri Miyauchi
Musician
Born in 1983 to a father who was a Japanese taiko drummer and a mother who was a jazz singer. He has released five albums on Rallye Label. His albums feature collaborations with various artists, both Japanese and international, including Yukihiro Takahashi, Tomoyo Harada, Keigo Oyamada, and Gen Hoshino. In his live performances, he is known for creating a space that can be described as an "experimental sound laboratory," where he plays multiple instruments—primarily guitar and percussion—sampling and looping sounds in real-time to generate music entirely on his own. He performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '13 in 2013. In addition to his solo work, he is expanding his activities through TYTYT (Yukihiro Takahashi + Yuri Miyauchi + Hiroshi Takano + Tomohiko Gondo), producing and remixing for domestic and international artists, and composing music for films, dramas, and commercials.
