Naoto Fukasawa-Designed Dog Tags Finally Unveiled

What does "Proper Dog." mean?
We asked dog lovers.
"Does your dog wear a license tag?"
Dog license tags are supposed to be attached.
However, the reality is that many dogs do not wear them due to various owner circumstances. If your beloved dog were to get lost, not wearing this tag could lead to its euthanasia.
Nationwide, tens of thousands of such unfortunate dogs are lost each year. To prevent such tragedies from increasing, Setagaya Ward decided to introduce new dog license tags from fiscal year 2009.
Aiming to create a tag that is gentle to both dogs and people, they collaborated with world-renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The shape was refined to a "small, rounded mass," and the material was changed to "aluminum, which develops character with scratches and age."

"As a metal mass ages beautifully, so does the bond with your beloved dog deepen."
— Naoto Fukasawa
A dog tag that allows you to feel the deepening bond with your cherished companion.
Seeing the new dog tags from Setagaya Ward offers an opportunity to consider the safe future with your beloved dog.
