Motif: "Origami" | Kaname Okajima Designs the "ORI ORI" Lamp
The "ORI ORI" is a new lamp from IDEE, inspired by origami. Its beautiful and charmingly unique design is by Kaname Okajima (POUF & BUTCH). The first thing that catches the eye is the reflector, formed by triangles woven into a three-dimensional shape. The material, 0.4mm thick tin plate, combines a metallic yet paper-like texture with a sense of lightness, creating a soft and rustic appearance. A single 100W unit is sufficient for illuminating an area around 1400mm wide, such as a dining table. It creates a light rhythm and delicate shadows, while also serving to visually anchor the space. ¥18,900.

Capturing Memories, Recreating Texture: "Flat School Desk" by Tsuneo Nagasaka + Shuuhei Nakamura
This school desk is created by pouring colored epoxy resin into the tops of actual school desks used in elementary schools, giving each piece a unique appearance. Elementary school desks, while standardized in shape, develop individual character over time through graffiti and wear, becoming uniquely personalized. "Flat School Desk" recreates these varied expressions through color, encapsulating the faint contours of past memories within the epoxy resin tabletop. A remarkable one-of-a-kind piece resulting from the collaboration between an architect's concept and a specialist painter's skill. ¥31,500 (includes chair).
