Designed as a heavy-duty tool, yet also a piece of furniture.
This "SHOE STOOL" was designed by Futatsumata as a 10th-anniversary item for FUJITO, a Fukuoka-based fashion brand.
This compact stool, specifically for shoes, is useful for putting on or taking off shoes at the entrance, or for light maintenance. It serves not only as a seat for dressing but also as a footrest for tasks like tying laces or brushing shoes. It also features storage for accessories such as brushes, cloths, creams, sprays, and shoehorns.
To avoid obstructing even narrow entrances, the stool is quite compact at 250mm wide, yet its solid steel construction provides surprising stability. Considering its use in rough conditions at the entrance or outdoors, it is finished with trivalent chromate plating, often used for tools, embodying a design that is both furniture and a heavy-duty implement.
