Flexform was born in Meda, Italy, in 1970. As a manufacturer of furniture renowned for its high quality and beauty, it operates in 53 countries worldwide. This new showroom, the fourth street-level store following New York, Milan, and London, opens on Kotto-dori.

Antonio Citterio is known as an indispensable figure for Flexform, overseeing its design.

Antonio Citterio, as a product designer, has released a diverse range of products from many renowned manufacturers. His work has been selected for the MoMA permanent collection. As an architect, he has undertaken numerous projects, including the Bulgari Hotel & Resorts in Bali and Milan, De Beers Ginza, and the Bulgari Ginza Tower. He also lectures at the Polytechnic University of Milan and the Royal College of Art in London, making him a titan of Italian design.

The partnership, which began when a young Antonio Citterio, a student at the Polytechnic University of Milan and a native of Meda, Flexform's birthplace, first designed furniture for Flexform, has continued for over 40 years to this day.

Flexform's furniture, imbued with Citterio's philosophy and concepts such as "A home is always an aesthetic expression" and "Identity that makes people charmingly elegant is based on the unwavering evolution of shapes and forms, research into new technologies, and the creative use of new materials," is loved worldwide for its modern, chic, and functional design.

The newly opened "Flexform Tokyo," spanning two floors with a total floor area of 210 square meters, was designed by Antonio Citterio himself, creating a warm space bathed in light. It showcases approximately 50 collections and 120 items, including the brand's signature bestseller, "GROUNDPIECE," known for its abundant modular variations.

In addition to bestsellers, new 2011 pieces will be on display from late October, coinciding with the Tokyo Designers Week period. These include the sofa "GRANDEMARE," inspired by the vast sea, the personal chair "GUSCIOALTO" inspired by a shell, and the "TRIS" chair set, notable for its combination of wooden legs and marble top. The showroom offers a total package for curated living spaces.

Flexform's furniture embodies Antonio Citterio's philosophy and cutting-edge technology. "Flexform Tokyo" promises to be a showroom offering solutions for those seeking simple, sophisticated interiors and spaces for relaxation.
