A Diverse Range of Derivative Models

The R nineT is the flagship model in BMW's heritage segment, powered by a traditional boxer engine. It is characterized by a diverse lineup of derivative models.
BMW R nineT Premium Line
Derivative models include the Urban G/S, an enduro model inheriting DNA from the legendary 1980 R80G/S; the Scrambler, paying homage to the genre of unique motorcycles; and the Pure, a roadster model simplified to its essential elements.
The boxer engine, refined with subtle tuning in both technical and visual aspects, produces a maximum output of 80 kW (109 hp) and a peak torque of 116 Nm. A redesigned cylinder head creates a more harmonious transition from the outer to inner cooling fins, while updated throttle valve parts and cylinder head covers enhance its aesthetic appeal.
Inside the cylinder head, a new turbulence system forms swirl flow in the air-fuel mixture to achieve cleaner combustion and optimized torque. This results in significant improvements in the power and torque curves, particularly between 4000 and 6000 rpm, delivering even stronger drive power than the previous model.
BMW R nineT Pure
The R nineT comes standard with ABS Pro combined with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), enhancing braking safety on banked surfaces and in challenging conditions. Additionally, a new shock absorber with a stroke-dependent damper (WAD) improves suspension comfort and allows for easy adjustment of the spring preload via a handwheel.
BMW R nineT Scrambler
Standard features include a circular instrument with a newly designed dial, LED headlights, white turn indicator lights, and a USB power socket. The exclusive "Option 719" is also available as an option.
Pricing for the R nineT starts at 2.24 million yen for the Premium Line, 1.905 million yen for the Pure Premium Standard and Pure Premium Line, 2.082 million yen for the Scrambler Premium Standard, 2.027 million yen for the Scrambler Premium Line, and 2.054 million yen for the Urban G/S Premium Line.
BMW R nineT Urban G/S
Deliveries for the Premium Line and Scrambler are scheduled to begin in late March 2021, while the Pure and Urban G/S are expected in April.
