Continuing Production of Medical Face Shields

Italy has been hit hard by the spread of the coronavirus, with many lives lost. Lamborghini has previously produced masks and face shields, and has now announced further support.
The breathing simulators to be produced with this support are used for the initial performance evaluation before the final inspection of ventilators with certified testing equipment. Lamborghini aims to complete the design, manufacturing, and verification of the simulators in its 3D printing lab within two weeks. By optimizing the components, the company will be able to produce 18 simulators per week, contributing to increased ventilator production.
In parallel, using a separate 3D printer and leveraging MJF technology for printing with 0.08mm precision, the company continues to produce polycarbonate medical face shields.
Lamborghini, based in the Emilia-Romagna region, describes the collaboration with two companies producing products in different fields as a "symbol of the responsibility and unity of Italian companies fighting the coronavirus together."
