Toyota Launches the New Land Cruiser 300 Series | TOYOTA

Exterior and Interior Focused on Functionality

In terms of exterior design, the body size, including the wheelbase, and the ground clearance angles (approach angle 32°, departure angle 26°, ramp breakover angle 25°) remain unchanged from the previous model, inheriting the ease of handling that contributes to off-road capability. Pursuing the heritage of previous Land Cruiser (station wagon type) models, it features a cabin-backward proportion with the cabin positioned further back.
The radiator grille is positioned high, along with the headlights. The lower parts of the front and rear bumpers are shaped to deflect obstacles, emphasizing a design focused on off-road driving functionality. The engine hood features a large indentation, balancing collision safety performance with forward visibility.
Inside the cabin, the front seating position has been moved rearward, and the structure and layout of the second and third-row seats have been revised to balance improved comfort, luggage capacity, and collision safety performance. The third-row seats are electrically foldable into the floor, making it easier to load luggage. Gasoline engine models are 7-seaters with three rows (GX grade is 2-seater), while diesel engine models are 5-seaters with two rows.
The upper part of the instrument panel is horizontally oriented, and a six-gauge meter cluster is adopted for intuitive visibility of speed, engine RPM, fuel, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage, allowing drivers to easily grasp the vehicle's status even on rough terrain. The mode selectors for Drive Mode Select, Multi-Terrain Select, Downhill Assist Control, and Crawl Control are integrated into a single dial, placed in an optimal position for operation while viewing the monitor.
Other various switches are grouped by function, such as driving/drivetrain, audio system, and air conditioning. They are laid out for intuitive operation, even during off-road driving. Additionally, as a safety and security feature befitting the latest generation Land Cruiser, it adopts Toyota's first fingerprint authentication start switch.
