Limited Edition Volvo V40 Cross Country with Latest Engine
Volvo Car Japan has introduced the "V40 Cross Country T5 AWD," a crossover model based on the hatchback "V40," featuring the latest engine and an active styling. Sales have begun for a limited edition of 200 units.

19 Percent Improvement in Fuel Efficiency
Volvo's hatchback model,V40is the basis for the crossover model "V40 Cross Country," which adds a four-wheel-drive system, 30mm higher ground clearance, and a more rugged exterior.V40 Cross Country". Now, the "V40 Cross Country T5 AWD" has been released, equipped with the new generation powertrain "Drive-E" adopted from theV60". This model is limited to 200 units and went on sale on March 30th (Monday).
The powertrain features a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the "T5," paired with a newly developed 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, delivering a maximum output of 245 ps and peak torque of 350 Nm. While boasting a 32 ps increase in maximum output and a 50 Nm increase in maximum torque compared to the previous model, it achieves a fuel economy of 14.8 km/ℓ in the JC08 mode, an improvement of approximately 19 percent or 2.4 km/ℓ.
The interior comes standard with charcoal and blonde two-tone leather seats and modern wood paneling. It also includes a navigation system with the new generation interface "SENSUS," and Volvo's signature "Pedestrian Airbag" along with "IntelliSafe 10," which integrates ten advanced safety and driver assistance features such as automatic braking and auto high beam.
Five body colors are available, with a price of 4.39 million yen including consumption tax.
