Jaguar Unveils New XF with World-Record Stunt Attempt
Jaguar has announced that it will unveil the new model of its mid-size saloon, the XF, at the New York Auto Show, which begins on April 1st. One week prior, on March 24th, they will stream a tightrope stunt featuring the new XF online in real-time.

Full Model Change After Eight Years
The Jaguar mid-size saloon, which first appeared in 2007, theXFwill undergo its second-generation model change, announced to debut at the New York Auto Show on April 1st. While details await the world premiere, it will feature an aluminum-intensive architecture, similar to the "XE" model, achieving a fuel economy of 70 mpg (approximately 25 km/l).
In advance of its world debut, one week prior on March 24th, a stunt will be performed to highlight the new XF's lightness and agility: crossing a 34mm steel cable suspended over water in an attempt to set a new world record for distance.
The stunt will be performed by veteran stuntman Jim Dowdall, known for his work in films such as "007," the "Bourne series," and "Indiana Jones."
The event will be streamed live online worldwide on http://jaguar.com/newxf starting at 7 PM GMT on the 24th (4 AM JST on the 25th).
