The new JCW, available as a 3-door model, is equipped with a newly developed 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin-power turbo engine. It delivers a maximum output of 170 kW (231 hp) at 5,200-6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm with overboost. This represents approximately a 10% increase in maximum output compared to the previous model.

The 6-speed automatic transmission has been redesigned, improving fuel efficiency by approximately 25%. Furthermore, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time has been reduced by 0.6 seconds compared to the previous model, achieving 6.1 seconds for the European specification.

The exterior features a standard JCW-exclusive aerodynamic kit. Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to support cornering are also standard. The newly developed Brembo brake calipers are painted red and bear the John Cooper Works logo. The standard 17-inch alloy wheels feature an exclusive design, with 18-inch options available.

The interior also befits a John Cooper Works model. The JCW-exclusive steering wheel with red stitching includes paddle shifters, and the seats are dedicated bucket-type sports seats. Stainless steel pedals, a driver's footrest, and an anthracite (grey) roof lining are standard. The also standard Head-Up Display shows information such as speed, engine revs, optimal shift timing, and navigation guidance. The exclusive door sills are also adorned with the logo.

Pricing starts at 3.98 million yen for the 6-speed manual and 4.15 million yen for the 6-speed Steptronic Sport automatic. Deliveries are scheduled to begin at the end of May.
