Celebrating 80 Years of Pininfarina and 100 Years of Alfa Romeo
This two-seater open-top concept, developed to commemorate Pininfarina's 80th anniversary and Alfa Romeo's centenary, is a particularly special vehicle for Alfa Romeo.
The exterior design blends futuristic elements with a look that evokes the original Spider, which debuted in 1966. The front fascia is striking, featuring Alfa Romeo's signature shield grille and distinctive LED headlamps.
Its dimensions are 4,213mm in length, 1,797mm in width, and 1,280mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,500mm. These measurements closely align with the original Spider's dimensions of 4,250mm in length, 1,630mm in width, and 1,290mm in height.
Engine: Latest 1,750cc Inline-4 Turbocharged Gasoline
The engine is Alfa Romeo's latest 1,750cc inline-4 turbocharged gasoline unit. The "1750" designation itself is a nod to the "1750 Spider Veloce," named when the original Spider's engine displacement was increased from 1,570cc to 1,779cc.
The car's name, 2uettottanta, is derived from the "1600 Spider Duetto," the original Spider designed by Pininfarina. It is certain that the design of the 2uettottanta will significantly influence the styling of the next Spider.
