Interior exudes enhanced luxury
The 2012 model of the sporty coupe XK has been dramatically changed, centered around the front grille. The headlamps have been slimmed down and now feature LED visual signatures, a recent trend. A slimmer boot lid finisher and a slightly larger grille give the car a sleeker, sharper impression. At the rear, the Jaguar's iconic Leaper emblem has been added to the trunk lid.
The high-performance R series 'XKR' further asserts its status as a special vehicle with exclusive features such as a badge added to the front upper grille.
Inside, the steering wheel design has been refreshed. Piano black veneer has been used across the entire center console, complemented by phosphor blue ambient lighting.
The models introduced in Japan are the base 'Luxury Coupe' (12 million yen) with a naturally aspirated engine, the 'Portfolio Convertible' (14.3 million yen) offering a variety of interior choices, and the 'XKR Coupe' (15.3 million yen) powered by a supercharged engine. All models are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the arrival of the 'XKR-S', the flagship of Jaguar's fastest and most powerful R series, in the Japanese market this autumn is eagerly anticipated.
