Balancing Performance and Economy

The roots of the GTI can be traced back to the second-generation Polo's "G40 Coupe" grade. This model featured a supercharged engine producing 113ps. Now, 24 years later, the "Polo GTI" is also equipped with a powerful engine.

This is the 1.4-liter inline-4 "TSI" engine, which utilizes a supercharger for boost below 3000rpm and a turbocharger for higher revs. It boasts a maximum output of 180ps and, in combination with a 7-speed "DSG" with paddle shifters, achieves 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 228km/h.

Yet, it achieves a European combined fuel economy of 16.64km/ℓ and CO2 emissions of 139g/km. It has truly been crafted to balance performance and economy.

Sportiness Enhanced, Inside and Out

The chassis features dedicated sports suspension, allowing for a 15mm lower ride height.
Furthermore, electronic devices such as the electronic cross-axle traction control "XDS" and the electronic LSD "EDL" integrated into the ESP have been adopted, significantly improving handling and traction.

The exterior is equipped with dedicated bumpers, a honeycomb mesh grille with characteristic red lines, and chrome exhaust tips. The 17-inch alloy wheels share a design with the "Golf GTI." LED daytime running lights can be optionally fitted to the dedicated headlights.
The interior is finished with a sporty ambiance, featuring a flat-bottom steering wheel with red stitching, tartan-check sports seats, and aluminum pedals.
