PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS

Everything for Success in Racing

COX, known for its tuning based onVolkswagenand Audi, announced that it will be responsible for the domestic sales of the newPorsche911 GT3 RS, which was officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, and began accepting orders on October 20.

Maximum Output Increased by 15 PS to 450 PS

The new 911 GT3 RS was developed for homologation of racing cars based on the 911 GT3, such as the Cup car. Aiming for success in racing, not only the engine power and weight were improved, but also the body and suspension were upgraded.

The power unit is based on the 3.8-liter flat-six engine already installed in the normal GT3, and has been modified to achieve a maximum output of 450 PS, an increase of 15 PS. The maximum output per liter is an astonishing 118 PS for a naturally aspirated engine. The accompanying 6-speed manual transmission has also been improved with shorter strokes and reduced weight.

Comes with Porsche AG World Warranty

The body has been widened not only at the rear but also at the front. Accordingly, wider tires have been adopted: 245/35ZR19 at the front and 325/30ZR19 at the rear. Combined with the newly adopted PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), which allows suspension settings to be changed according to driving conditions, it is said to enable driving at a higher level. The ride height is 30mm lower than that of the 911 GT3.

Furthermore, it comes standard with dynamic engine mounts that adjust the damping force of the engine mount dampers according to driving conditions. This improves the integration between the engine and the body during high loads. Aerodynamics have also been improved to achieve higher downforce performance.

The exterior features a new carbon rear wing and titanium muffler, creating a racy atmosphere unique to the GT3 RS.

The car comes with a Porsche AG World Warranty, allowing for after-sales support at Porsche Centers nationwide.

BRAND HISTORY
PORSCHE is a globally acclaimed sports car brand that commands immense respect from skilled drivers worldwide. Its origins trace back to 1931. Ferdinand Porsche, a brilliant engineer who showed early promise, established the 'Porsche Design Office' in Stuttgart, Germany, after a tenure as technical director at Daimler, to embark on his independent venture. From there, he was commissioned by various automotive manufacturers to develop diverse vehicles. Among his most notable contributions was the 'Volkswagen Beetle,' the 'people's car' that significantly propelled motorization in Germany.

The first car to bear his name as a manufacturer was the '356,' introduced in 1948. Since then, Porsche has introduced sports cars like the '911,' '924,' and '928' to the world, while also focusing intensely on motorsport. For instance, they have achieved 16 victories in the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world's most demanding race, and contributed to three series championships as an engine supplier in Formula 1, marking a brilliant racing legacy. It goes without saying that their engineering prowess and dedication to driving performance continue to resonate in their products today.

Currently, the '911,' which continues to be highly regarded as a top-tier sports car even 45 years after its debut, along with the open-top sports car 'Boxster,' its coupe counterpart the 'Cayman,' and the premium sports SUV 'Cayenne,' all boast immense popularity within their respective lineups.
