Scheduled for release in Germany on September 12th, the Panamera is a new model that has garnered global attention as a luxury large touring sedan, offering not only Porsche's signature driving dynamics but also comfortable seating for four. It was developed by Porsche as its fourth distinct model line, following the 911, Boxster/Cayman, and Cayenne.

The engine is a direct-injection V8, also found in the Cayenne. The Panamera S and Panamera 4S will feature a 4.8-liter V8 producing 400 hp, while the Panamera Turbo will use a 4.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 500 hp. These three models will be the first to go on sale. A six-cylinder engine and a hybrid variant are also planned for later release.
The Panamera, developed with Porsche's full commitment, is already available for order in Japan, with prices starting at 13.74 million yen for the S, 14.36 million yen for the 4S, and 20.61 million yen for the Turbo.
BRAND HISTORY
PORSCHE (Porsche) commands overwhelming support from skilled individuals worldwide as a leading German sports car brand. Its origins trace back to 1931. Ferdinand Porsche, a prodigy who distinguished himself as an automotive engineer from his twenties, gained experience as technical director at Daimler before establishing his own "Porsche Design Office" in Stuttgart, Germany, to become independent. From then on, he was entrusted with the development of various vehicles by automobile manufacturers. Among his most famous works is the "Volkswagen Beetle," which significantly contributed to motorization as Germany's "people's car."
The first car to bear his name as an automobile manufacturer was the "356," introduced in 1948. Since then, Porsche has released sports cars such as the "911," "924," and "928," while also focusing on motorsport. For instance, they achieved 16 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, arguably the world's most grueling race, and contributed to three series championships as an engine supplier in Formula 1, accumulating a brilliant racing record. It goes without saying that the technical prowess and dedication to driving that defined these achievements continue to live on in their products today.
Currently, the lineup, all highly popular, includes the "911," which continues to be highly regarded as a top-tier sports car even 45 years after its debut; the open-top sports car "Boxster"; its coupe counterpart, the "Cayman"; and the premium sports SUV, the "Cayenne."
