Jaguar has launched a teaser campaign for the new XJ at the Shanghai Motor Show.

Deliveries Begin Early 2010
The Jaguar XJ is known as the company's flagship model, enjoying popularity and high global acclaim.
This new model represents further evolution, featuring a newly developed engine and an aluminum body structure, poised to be born as a next-generation saloon.
The newly developed engine is Jaguar's third-generation V8. The top-grade model will be equipped with a direct-injection 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine (510ps), while a new V6 unit offering improved fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions will also be available for diesel variants.
The photograph released this time is a single shot looking down on the new model from directly above, with Jaguar confidently stating, "The new XJ will define the ultimate luxury saloon."
From the photograph, all that can be discerned so far is the adoption of a glass roof across the entire roofline, but one eagerly awaits the full reveal.
The official debut of this new model is set for July 9th in London, with announcements indicating that the first units are scheduled for delivery in early 2010.
