Alpine's second all-electric model, the A390, unveiled in France.

Alpine has unveiled its BEV (battery electric vehicle) model, the A390, in its home country of France. Alpine Japan is reportedly considering introducing the A390 to the Japanese market.

Equipped with a uniquely developed torque-vectoring system for enhanced agility and safety

Following the announcement of the Alpine A290, Alpine's first BEV, last year, the A390 has now been revealed.
Dubbed a "sport fastback model" by Alpine, the A390 measures 4,615mm in length, 1,885mm in width, and 1,532mm in height. As a BEV with a large-capacity battery, its curb weight exceeds 2,121kg.

The powertrain features one motor at the front and two at the rear. Two grades are available: "GTS" and "GT." The "GTS" delivers a maximum output of 345kW (470hp) and 808Nm of torque, while the "GT" produces 295kW (400hp) and 650Nm.

Alpine claims that its uniquely developed torque-vectoring system, which adjusts torque to each wheel, enhances driving dynamics, agility, and safety, delivering a thrilling driving feel akin to the A110.

Thanks to its advanced technology, the "GTS" achieves a top speed of 220 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The "GT" reaches 200 km/h in 4.8 seconds. Both models are equipped with an 89kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a WLTP range of 520-555 km.

Alpine plans to unveil more BEVs as part of its "Alpine Dream Garage" lineup, which will comprise a total of seven models including the A390. It remains to be seen whether the A390 will be launched in Japan.
