The World Opened by the New Generation Jaguar "XF" (Part 1)
The New Generation Jaguar XF: Opening Up a New World (Part 1)
This spring, the new model "XF" from the esteemed British brand Jaguar has landed in Japan.
The XF, said to succeed the "S-Type," is also an ambitious creation tasked with leading the new generation of Jaguars. What is new about it, and what does it suggest?

A Stance That Would Make Any Coupe Envious
Can a car change this dramatically?
That's what I thought when I saw Jaguar's new saloon, the "XF." It's a world newly created by discarding the very image of Jaguar, the style of a saloon, and even the common sense of a cockpit. While formally it's the successor to Jaguar's upper-middle saloon, the S-Type, the XF is so entirely new that such a description feels hollow.

If the "XK," a modern and dynamic new generation coupe, embodies the "Beautiful Fast Car" concept, then the saloon XF is an extremely important model that will present this new style to a wider audience. However, upon witnessing its elegant and commanding presence, anyone would immediately sense the success of this model.
An interior combining aluminum, leather, and wood panels.A 7-inch touchscreen is positioned in the center of the dashboard,
where most functions can be selected.
The body, measuring 4970mm long, 1875mm wide, and 1460mm high, possesses a beautiful stance that would make any coupe envious. In particular, the flowing roofline and the glamorous tail end, reminiscent of a sports car, are truly captivating.
However, it's not just about design; despite its appearance, the rear seats offer ample space for legs and heads, demonstrating that it understands its role as Jaguar's flagship saloon.

One of the new innovations in the Jaguar XF is the
dial-type "Jaguar Drive Selector," which replaces the shift lever.
When you press the engine start button located behind it, it rises,
fitting snugly into the driver's hand.
By turning and pressing, you can operate the gears and select both Drive
and Sport modes.
While the flowing form is so sleek that having four doors feels almost incongruous, the XF's cockpit is even more daring.
The leather covering the dashboard and the wood panels placed throughout create a sense of quality, while the subtly gleaming aluminum panels discreetly assert the XF's athletic nature.
What's surprising is the design of the center console. By eliminating not only the parking brake lever but also the shift lever, it carves out a unique world for the XF, with both design and function being innovative.
While respecting its fine traditions, the XF has successfully broken free from old-fashionedness, truly embodying the cutting edge of saloons today.
